Many golfers out there dread the bunker shot, thinking once they go in the sand… “well, there goes this hole”. If you’re one of those people, follow these simple directions to greater sand success.
As you can see in the picture above, the clubface of the sandwedge is wide open, almost laying flat. The reason is not to add more loft, but to put the “bounce” below the “leading edge”. The bounce is that bulge or ridge on the back of your sandwedge… it is shown in this picture highlighted in yellow.
